From role brief to a working engineer, step by step.
No surprises about what happens when, who does what, or what it costs. Here is the whole process.
One working session.
Sourcing and screening run quietly.
We coordinate across time zones.
We negotiate as the employer.
Access, payroll, equipment ready.
A named contact, always.
1. Role brief — one working session
We define the role together: the work, the stack, the seniority, the compensation band, the time-zone overlap you need. We tell you at this point if the role is hard to fill at that budget, rather than discovering it six weeks in.
From you: one hour, and whoever will manage the person.
2. Sourcing and screening — 5 business days
We map the market, run outreach, and screen. You hear nothing during this stage except a progress note.
From you: nothing.
3. Shortlist — 5 business days from brief
Typically 3-5 candidates with a written assessment of each, including where we have doubts. We do not pad a shortlist to look busy. If we have two good candidates, we send two.
From you: interview availability.
4. Your interviews — your pace
You interview as you would any hire. We coordinate scheduling across time zones and handle candidate communication throughout.
5. Offer and acceptance — 5 business days
We make the offer as the employer, negotiate, and confirm the start date. We manage notice periods, which in India typically run 30–90 DAYS and are the single most common cause of delay.
6. Onboarding — day one ready
Employment paperwork, payroll setup, benefits enrolment, equipment. Where you issue devices, we coordinate delivery and setup. Where you do not, we provision. Access to your systems is set up with your IT team before day one.
From you: system access and an onboarding contact.
7. Ongoing
You manage the work. We manage the employment: payroll, leave, benefits, performance check-ins at 60 DAYS, and a named Virdapt contact you can call. If something is not working, we deal with it.
Timelines we commit to
| Stage | Commitment |
|---|---|
| Signed brief to shortlist | 5 business days |
| Selection to accepted offer | 5 business days |
| Replacement if it does not work out | Free replacement within 2 weeks |
Notice periods sit outside our control and outside these commitments. We will tell you a candidate's notice period before you interview them.
If it does not work out
Within the first 90 days, we replace the person at no cost and restart the search immediately. Beyond that window, we will still tell you honestly whether the fix is a replacement or a management conversation.
Scaling up
The second hire is faster than the first, because the brief already exists and we already know your stack and your bar. Teams of [N] or more get [DESCRIBE WHAT IS ACTUALLY OFFERED].
Start with one role.
Send the brief. We will tell you within a day whether we can fill it, at what level, and how long it will take.
